2. Who can apply for agriculture insurance?

Both small-scale and large-scale farmers involved in crop, livestock, or aquaculture production can apply, provided they meet the insurer's eligibility criteria.

3. What Does Agriculture Insurance Cover?

1. Crop Insurance Covers:

- Crop failure due to weather-related risks such as drought, floods, hailstorms, and excessive rainfall

- Pest infestations and plant diseases that significantly reduce yield

- Fire or accidental damage to insured crops


2. Livestock Insurance Covers:

- Mortality due to disease, accidents, or natural disasters (e.g. lightning, floods)

- Epidemics affecting large groups of animals

- Theft (if included in the policy)

- Injuries or accidents leading to death or permanent disability

- Fire-related losses in farm structures that result in livestock death
